Dr David Yeomans

David Yeomans is a teacher, an historian and an engineer.  He taught architecture principally at Liverpool and Manchester Universities but also as visiting professor at the University of Washington. His publications have been on the history of construction mainly the development of structural carpentry and reinforced concrete. As an engineer he specialises in the conservation of historic structures and has been a consultant to UNESCO for World Heritage Sites. He is currently vice chairman of the Construction History Society and an honorary member of the International Scientific Committee for the Analysis and Restoration of Structures of Architectural Heritage.
