    • Newcomen Atmospheric Engine to be awarded an Engineering Heritage Award

      The Society is proud that the Newcomen Atmospheric Engine will be awarded an Engineering Heritage Award by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. The Newcomen Society moved the engine from the Coventry Canal for preservation in Dartmouth, Newcomen’s birthplace in 1962.
