Publications

First among our publications are the Newcomen Society's Transactions The Society is proud of this extensive and unique collection of research papers, dating back to 1920, on the widest range of aspects of historical engineering and technology.

Transactions

Transactions of the Newcomen Society are published twice yearly, and are free to Members paying at the standard subscription rate.

Earlier volumes of Transactions:

  • We have a few hardback copies, mainly Volumes 52-68, which can be purchased from the Newcomen Society Office.

  • Softbacks are available for most of the years from Vol 37 (1964) onwards. These can also be purchased from the Newcomen Society Office.

Online archive of Transactions
  • An online archive of the Society's Transactions is now available. You can search for papers on a subject of interest, browse the results and buy complete copies of papers, which are downloaded on line.

The Newcomen Bulletin

Links, the Bulletin of the Newcomen Society, is produced four times a year and is provided free to all Members.
