Evening meetings

Evening meetings take place in London (see below), and in Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Portsmouth, Bristol and Edinburgh / Glasgow. At these meetings, a speaker will present a paper on a topic of interest, after which there is an opportunity to join a general discussion, and to meet with other members over supper.

Meetings in London

These are generally held on the second Wednesday of the month, at 5.45 pm in the Fellows' Room of the Science Museum in South Kensington (see our useful map). Visitors are welcome and admission is free. Meetings are generally followed by informal meal at a local restaurant or, where indicated, a simple buffet supper at the Museum (for those who book and pay in advance only).

Non-members of the society are welcome to attend the meetings and there is no need to book in advance.
