How to join

All are invited to apply to join the Newcomen Society. No formal qualifications are required for membership - only an interest in the subject.

To apply for membership, please fill in our application form and send it to the Executive Secretary. See Contacts page.

Once your application has been accepted by the Society's Council, you will be asked for payment. You can choose to receive the Society's Transactions which are published twice a year, or you can opt for membership without Transactions.

Subscription rates

NB The subscription year for individual Members runs from 1st October to 30th September.

Rates for individual Members (GB Pounds Sterling), as of 1st October 2006:

  • UK Members, including Transactions: £49.00
  • Overseas Members, including Transactions: £55.00
  • UK Student Associates (under 23 years of age): £9.00
  • Overseas Student Associates (under 23): £11.00
