Inter-Society Anniversaries Committee

The Newcomen Society organises a committee which meets twice a year to consider forthcoming anniversaries in the field of science, technology and engineering.

The committee comprises representatives from 26 scientific and engineering institutions, including the Royal Society, the Royal Institution and the Science Museum.

  • Frank Whittle - (centenary of his birth)
  • William Thomson, Lord Kelvin - (centenary of his death)
